Professional Bio:
Sam Wheeler is an associate at the San Francisco office of Crowell & Moring LLP, where his practice includes litigation and antitrust. He has externed for judges on the Ninth Circuit and the Northern District of California, and will begin a clerkship with a Northern District magistrate judge in the summer of 2014.
Sam graduated from Berkeley Law (Boalt Hall) in 2013. He was the programs director and an executive editor for Ecology Law Quarterly, participated in the California Asylum Representation Clinic and the McBaine Moot Court Competition, and is a member of the Order of the Coif.
Sam graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from UCLA in 2008 with a degree in International Development Studies and minors in Political Science and Arabic and Islamic Studies. He was a co-captain of the UCLA Sailing Team and, after graduating, a founding member of the Friends of the UCLA Sailing Team. Sam worked as a paralegal in the international trade group at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in Washington, DC before starting law school.
